5-Amino-1MQ 5mg
Le 5-Amino-1MQ(5-amino-1-methylquinolinium) is asmall molecule NNMT inhibitor(nicotinamide N-methyltransferase), an enzyme highly expressed in adipose tissue, the overexpression of which is associated with obesity and metabolic slowing. It is one of the most promising research compounds on theenergy metabolism, therelipolysisand the elevation ofNAD+.
Mechanism of action
By blocking NNMT, 5-Amino-1MQ redirects cellular metabolism along several convergent pathways:
- NNMT inhibition:Prevents the methylation of nicotinamide, preserving this essential precursor for NAD+ biosynthesis.
- Elevation of NAD+ and SAM:Increases the pool of NAD+ and S-adenosylmethionine, supporting mitochondrial function and sirtuin activity.
- Action on adipocytes:In the models, inhibition of NNMT increases the energy expenditure of fat cells and reduces lipid storage, without decreasing food intake.
- Muscle support:Studied for its role in muscle regeneration and function via the NAD+ pathway.
Preclinical studies on mouse models of obesity have reported areduction of fat massand an improvement in metabolic markers after inhibition of NNMT, making 5-Amino-1MQ a prime target in research on body composition and metabolic longevity.
5mg format — For whom?
The 5mg format is suitable for exploratory research protocols and dose-response studies requiring precise concentrations. Its lyophilized form ensures optimal stability and accurate reconstitution for laboratory work.

- Certificate of Analysis (COA):Available in production batches
- Shape :Freeze-dried — maximum stability at -20°C
- Reconstruction:With bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol)
- Class :NNMT inhibitor (small molecule, quinolinium salt)
- Molecular weight:~159 g/mol (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium cation)
Storage and replenishment
Keep the lyophilized vial at -20°C before reconstitution. After adding 1 mL of bacteriostatic water, the solution allows obtaining a precise concentration of 5mg/mL.It remains stable for 4 weeks at a temperature between +2°C and +8°C, protected from light. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles after reconstitution must be strictly avoided. Handle under strict aseptic conditions for laboratory research.
Shipping and tracking
Each batch benefits from complete traceability, from production to delivery. Discreet packaging and shipping within 48-72 hours throughout Europe (France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal). Payment via secure SEPA bank transfer.
