La Tesamorelin 10mg(search code TH9507, also known by the trade name Egrifta) is a stabilized synthetic analogue ofGHRH(Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone) composed of 44 amino acids. Originally developed for lipodystrophy research, it is now one of the most studied growth hormone secretagogues for its targeted action on visceral fat and lipid metabolism.
Molecular mechanism of action
Tesamorelin binds to GHRH receptors located on somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary gland, stimulating synthesis and releasepulsatile and physiologicalof endogenous growth hormone (GH). Unlike the direct administration of exogenous GH, this mechanism respects the natural feedback control of the somatotropic axis, preserving the hypothalamic-pituitary regulatory loops. The increase in GH leads to an elevation of IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1), a mediator of numerous metabolic effects. The N-terminal stabilization of the molecule confers increased resistance to enzymatic degradation by DPP-4, prolonging its half-life compared to native GHRH.
