Epithalon 10mg
L’Epithalon 10mg(also spelledEpitalon, sequenceAla-Glu-Asp-Gly / AEDG) is asynthetic tetrapeptide, a short, bioactive version of epithalamine, a polypeptide extracted from the pineal gland. Developed by Russian researcher Vladimir Khavinson, it is one of the most studied research peptides in the field oftelomerasecellular aging and neuroendocrine regulation.
Mechanism of action
Epithalon acts primarily as a regulatory peptide (cytomedin) modulating gene expression. Its studied pathways of action are:
- Telomerase activation:Stimulates the expression of the hTERT catalytic subunit, promoting the maintenance and elongation of telomeres in somatic cells.
- Pineal gland regulation and melatonin:Restores nocturnal melatonin secretion and helps normalize age-related circadian rhythms.
- Antioxidant effect:Reduces oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation in the models studied.
- Neuroendocrine modulation:It influences the hypothalamic-pituitary axis and the expression of genes associated with aging.
Khavinson's work on cell cultures has shown atelomerase reactivationand a prolongation of the replicative capacity of human fibroblasts (beyond the Hayflick limit). In animal models, cyclic administration has been associated with an increase in lifespan and an improvement in age-related markers.
10mg format — For whom?
The 10mg format offers a suitable reserve for Epithalon protocols, classically conducted inshort and repeated treatments(cycles of 10 to 20 days). It covers several research cycles while guaranteeing excellent economic efficiency for the laboratory.

Storage and replenishment
Keep the lyophilized vial at -20°C before reconstitution. After adding 1 mL of bacteriostatic water, the solution allows obtaining a precise concentration of 10mg/mL.It remains stable for 4 weeks at a temperature between +2°C and +8°C, protected from light. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles after reconstitution must be strictly avoided. Handle under strict aseptic conditions for laboratory research.
